Fingernails are a good place for latin answers.

First things first... I was watching MTVu today (as ALWAYS.) And they always have the most amazing quotes from John Ashberry and Oscar Wilde in between videos... AKA some of the most well-spoken men in the entire world. I particularly liked one by Oscar Wilde saying, "All of us lie in gutters, but some of us look up at the stars."
--If you have an alternative interpretation of this quote then I'd be superthrilled to hear it (Of course I wont give you MY interpretation because that would only restrict your own thoughts. I'm not going to do all of the work for you guys this time :] ) so just put it in a comment.--
The past 6 or so hours for me have been possibly the most mind-numbing collection of tests I have ever experienced. I'm not the kind of person who deals well under pressure...so I pissed off most of the people around me. Example: my friend asked if she could borrow my notes and i responded with a frank "I HATE YOU. GO AWAY." I, however, do not hate her and she is one of my best friends. I think she understood. In the process of cramming for my Latin test during World History I spazzed and wrote all of the declensions for the passive tense on my fingernails... an ingenious cheating technique i adopted in middle school because my sweaty palms+ink=no cheating for amanda. You can also wipe the crap off before a teacher comes to check up on you... much more effective than the Notes-On-Converse technique.

In other news... The Raconteurs changed the layout of their website, and it looks fanfuckingtabulous. I highly suggest you check it out. But this is just a segway so that I get to talk about Jack White... a man I also consider to be pretty FANFUCKINGTABULOUS. He and Alicia Keys coexist marvelously in the song Another Way To Die from the new James Bond movie, even though Jack's spaztic bursts of guitar riffage sound a little awkward with the equally spaztic bursts of string concerto. A small production note I am willing to overlook. This must be the first top 100 song i've actually liked since... well... is it even a top 100 song? I was going to say early Paramore but I don't think they've ever made it up there either...
Mainstream Society: 1
Me: goose. egg.
I've also gotten around to listening to Locksley's latest Album which I found pretty satisfying. It's one of those albums that's good to listen to if you have a really cool car and you're driving down the highway (and by cool car I mean of course a VW bug or a beaten up lime green station wagon)... but a little annoying if you're trying to study. Which I did. Unsuccessfully. Overall there's a lot of really cool driving bass and drum layers and some Fastball/1950s reminiscent harmonies.

Also, I tried sugar free red bull in a desperate search for caffeine this morning... lets just say if they made bubble gum in piss flavor, this would be the equivalent. Emily drank it all, though. However, my withdrawal headache made it impossible to concentrate through Chemistry.
Yes, I am aware I have a problem.

OUT. : )
